Step-by-step tutorial with photos

The page is under construction, check back later!

To make this bracelet you will need 7 cords 30-32" long (around 75-80 cm). I used a 1-strand paracord (2mm), but anything between 1mm and 2 mm thickness will be fine. Total - around 20 feet.

 1. Pin two cords to the cushion and tie a half of a Square knot on them with the third cord.

 2. Then direct one the middle cords to a side and tie a Double half hitch on it with another cord (the outside one). The middle cords will be our base cords.

 3. Repeat on another side.

 4. Double remaining 4 cords and mount them (two on each side) with Lark's head knots on the base cords.

 5. Direct one of the cords in a middle diagonaly, parallel to the first base cord. From now on I will highlight base cords with red and working cords - with blue.

 10. Now tie a row of Double half hitches on the 3rd cord from a middle.

 11. Now lets do an edge curve of our bracelet. It is a little complicated and I think is the hardest part (at least it was for me!). The outmost cord and the 3rd cord will be our base cords and the 2rd cord (the middle one) will be a working cord. Make 4 knots, starting on the 3rd cord and finishing on the 1st (the outmost). The pattern is called a Double braid and described in details on the Patterns page.

23. Make a Double half hitch knot with a base cord on the base cord from another side, kind of connecting them.

 24. For the next several steps you will need scissors. Put two outmost cords together and, using them as base cords, make on them a Double half hitch with the 3rd cord. Make it very tight - and cut off one of the base cords.

 25. Repeat the previous step, but add the previously working cord to a base cord. Keep cutting off the second base cords.

 26. Repeat steps 24-25 on another side.

 27. Almost finished!!

 28. Tie a Double half hitch on the two middle cords with the outmost cord. Cut off one of the base cords. Repeat one more time - you will have two cords left (alternatively, you can leave all 4 ends and tie a Square knots braid with them).

Now you can add two more cords 5-10 inches long and make Square knots braids on both ends of this Celtic pattern, and then attach some jewelry fixtures/ blacelet closures. Done!
