Macrame Two-tone Bracelet

You will need two threads about one yard (36 inches) each and a shambala bead. I used waxed cording - sky blue and baby pink colors - for this project. Hemp cord would also work great.

1. Take both your threads and fold them, so that there are about 10-11" on one side and 25-26" on another. The shorter ends will be the base threads and the longer ends - working threads. Take the folded ends of your threads and tie the two together into a simple Overhand knot, leaving about 0,5" from top, and pin it to a cushion.

2. You will have now 4 ends. Keep your shorter (base) strands in the middle and the longer (working) ones on either side of your base strands. I tied the working threads into knots to make my work easier.

3. Start making Lark's Head knots with right and left working threads alternatively, on both base threads. Keep making the knots until you have braid of desired length (mine is about 5-6 inches).

4. Pull a bead through the base threads and tie another Overhand knot underneath. Trim any extra cording.

Pull the bead through the loop - and you are ready to shine!

5. You can make a beaded version of this bracelet pattern - just slide a little bead through your working cord after every knot - like on the picture below.
